Therapy consists of using the immuno-modulatory effects of helminths to reduce the impact and evolution of autoimmune diseases (multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, type 1 Diabetes…), asthma and allergies.

These studies stemmed from an evolution in the hygiene hypothesis. It was observed that in the countries where infestation with helminths was endemic, autoimmune diseases, asthma and allergies were virtually non-existent, and vice versa.
Map: Autoimmune Diabetes VS Helminths. It is very similar for the rest of the autoimmune diseases.
Helminthic Therapy is based on studies carried out by universities and international research centres of reknown, such as:
- Cambridge University (United Kingdom)
- The University of Nottingham (United Kingdom)
- The University of Iowa (USA)
- Fleny Institute (Argentina)
- London School of Medicine (United Kingdom)
- The University of Edimburgh (United Kingdom)
- The University of Antwerp (Belgium)
- Queensland Institute of Medical Research (Australia)
Helminthic therapy is based on more than 20 years of research studies and is the most effective natural therapy in the fight against these types of diseases.
The results obtained from these investigations are spectacular compared with traditional therapies, and side effects are fewer and less harmful.
Helminthic Therapy has a low rate of side effects, but a very high effectiveness rate and can have, without a doubt, a transforming effect in the life of the patients who use it.
We suggest analysing the studies of its application to Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s Disease, as well as to other published studies that he have compiled for reference.
The advantages of this therapy in medicine are having considerable delays, since research is focussing on obtaining the molecules produced by helminths to create the medication. IMMUNOLOGICA is one step ahead, because we centre on the use of the direct source of those molecules or enzymes: helminths. This is a therapy we can use right now to improve the quality of life and health of people affected by these diseases.
At present, there are two types of helminthic therapies based on a solid foundation of research. These therapies are:
-Use of big doses of TSO, “Trichuris suis” eggs recurrently (every 3 weeks, orally). The main research centre is the University of IOWA.
-Use of Small quantities of Necator Americanus once every several years (between 3 and 7). The main research centre is the School of Pharmacy of the University of Nottingham, though many more have carried out experiments that have corroborated Nottingham’s results. IMMUNOLOGICA relies on this second therapy because of its effectiveness, ease of administration, and very few, if any, side effects in most cases.
